this considering that there is no referance and you used only 40 minutes, is absolutly beautiful, and is perhaps one of your best speed painting (i flip in and out of dev art, so ive seen your work from months back believe me), the shadows and depth are breathtaking, and i definatly like the jungle idea, to be quite honest, i could even see you taking an image such as this to a finalized state...tall jungles, structures through the trees...etc etc... but its just such a great idea , and you composed it so well, the sky is ncie, but i think it would add a nicer atmosphere if you made it raining, or filled the sky with deep clouds, just ideas, anyways truly superb work +fav

very nice! One crit is that the top 'background' structure is sharper than the pricipal focus.. which is the bottom horizontal... and that makes for less believablity in terms of depth, at the cost of 'composition' (which imo you couldve handled by going against your preferred vertical 'grandeur' layouts)

Will you be contributing this to phb for fun? (i know that you know that there are going to be official map polls soon.. perhaps suggest this as a map? the leveldesign template, pertaining to game dynamics, to art direction is for DL on wms.)

Hell, do I need to say anything? Somehow, this style of painting reminds me of a lot of other painters. But wonderful nontheless, yet... I feel that underneath that jungle, there is something... As if the entire jungle, a representation of nature, is artificial, a construct of the buildings. .....Ah, great work, great work. I expect more.
