I spent 2 hours studying light and how it glows in the night at different distances. I learned some cool stuff while making this. Obviously the lights perspective on the buildings is off, but getting the perspective right was not my goal in this, so that's alright.
I've still been busy working on my website [link] . Currently I am working on a page called Learning center where I will have tutorials and any kind of helpful info I have found or learned.
woah.... its so realistic but so much cooler looking. the lighting really turned out nicely on this i love the glow effects. It almost seems like a view from one whos got a bit of chlorine in there eyes. u know how like all the lights u see look blurry if u open ur eyes underwater in a pool without goggles? and afterwards all the lights and things u see are slightly distorted....woah im trying to hard to explain but i hope u get it

Kind of reminds me of a night verson of "Like a Bird". Just how the buildings are. Nice variety of colour used in this, especially on the horizon the orange glow gives that last minute sunset feel, which is really a nice detailed touch to this. Building lights look good, could have been a bit more diverse, but im sure that wasn't a priority in drawing this. But yea, nice work Chris.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

just one question
where exactly do you get the information on all the work with light that you do?

Altough i think the front might have been better a little sharper and the backround a little blurrier.
