Artist's Comments

Flying cities are cool.

How did I do it ?
I drew everything with black and white charcoal on brown paper. The canvas was 18 x 24 inches.
I then scanned sections in and put it all together in photoshop. Added improved lighting, improved clouds, Ships, and greenish texture.

How long did it take?
The drawing took 8 hours. The photoshop work took 5 hours. Add it all up and that is 13 hours of work.

Programs used.
Photoshop 7

looking forward to the print, this is fantastic, i think you couldve made the contrast between the cities and the background a little softer in some areas, but otherwise its really nice, great work man...

I saw one of your things like two months ago, the goldish one with the three towers poking above the clouds and the dragons flying around. I believe I commented, and I THOUGHT I added you to my watch but alas, several weeks later I realized that I forgot to. Idiot me.

Well, what are the odds, I see something incredible and IT'S YOU AGAIN! Just my luck, no?

This is one of the coolest drawings I have seen in a while. Great composition. Awesome flow. Everything going on here is simply amazing. This reminds me of something Roger Dean, the artist for the world famous Yes album covers, would make. The combination between a novel ingenuity and exemplary execution makes for an incredibly well-done piece. The more I look at this one, the more I like it. All of the elements, all of the strokes, everything I see just works.

Now to add you to my watch...for real this time.
